Dining by Design

I love everything about the below image, discovered on Heath Ceramic’s fabulous blog.  The photographwas taken at a recent Dining By Design fundraiser – all decor was designed by the Puccini Group; the place settings are, of course, Heath.

The juxtaposition of the graffiti walls with the definitely-not-urban cafe lighting and the cacti with the plaid napkins makes the room, to me, just as intriguing as it is welcoming.  As event planners, we need to keep in mind that the decor of a restaurant / table is often as important as the food; and, even more importantly, the message of the meeting.
